The 22nd Annual Tommy Nobis Center Golf Classic took place September 17, 2007 at the beautiful Marietta Country Club. Through corporate support from title sponsor ProCore Solutions, along with multiple other companies including WellStar Health System, Barnes Van Lines, Five Smiths Foundation, Gas South, Georgia Baptist Foundation, Moore and Cubbedge, Southern Company, AirTran Airlines, Delta Airlines, WSB-TV and many others, we netted $55,000 for the Tommy Nobis Foundation. Each year we are proud to have the community support and this year welcomed 130 golfers including 12 former Falcon players and Atlanta sports legends.
The tournament continued the “Tommy” tradition of bringing together companies, organizations and dedicated individuals who love golf and recognize the important service the Tommy Nobis Center provides to our Georgia communities. Our tournament participants enjoyed a friendly game of golf, lunch and dinner along with a raffle, silent auction and grand prizes for first, second and third place winners in both the four-some and five-some flights. An added bonus to the playing course was the Tommy Trivia which helped educate our golfers on facts about the center, people with disabilities and the human services industry. Most everyone went home with something and in the process, everyone supported a great cause.
