Loyalty - Eugene RobertsonEugene started working for the Tommy Nobis Center in 1977 literally from day one, joining the Center as its first employee. His position was as a plant manager. Over the years, Eugene has worked in different supervisory jobs and serves today as Tommy Nobis Enterprises supervisor at the Recycling Center for Dobbins Air Reserve Base. Eugene goes beyond the call of duty, accompanying employees to doctors' appointments and weekend activities to ensure they succeed at everything they do. Eugene says, "I guess you could call me loyal, but it is the love of the people and what I do that has kept me coming in every day for 34 years."
Mission - Mike DanielsIf your company or you as an individual are looking to protect the planet, get a tax deduction, and help put people with disabilities to work, Mike Daniels is your man. As COO of Recycletronics...at Tommy Nobis Center, Mike provides leadership for the Center's electronics recycling social enterprise, where 71 jobs have been created since launching the program in June 2009. Mike's dedication to the Tommy Nobis Center mission is unmatched. Mike often explains, "Their successes are our successes. When the abilities of those we serve have been recognized, we have fulfilled our mission."
Motivation - Ray SimmsIndependence. Confidence. Success. These are words that describe Ray Simms. Blinded in a chemical accident 26 years ago, Ray never lets his disability get him down. Ray is one of the Center's most motivated warehouse workers. And his attitude is contagious. When new clients (job trainees) come to the Tommy Nobis Center, Ray makes them feel welcomed, keeps them excited, and helps them too to find confidence and success. Kudos to Ray, one of many successes at the Tommy Nobis Center. |
