| Our Funding |
We receive rehabilitation fees for service through an annual contract with the Georgia Department of Labor - Vocational Rehabilitation Program, Veterans Administration and private rehabilitation providers. Some scholarships are sponsored by corporations and individual donors. No client pays directly.
Business contracts are the vehicle for training clients and providing community-based employment for individuals with significant disabilities. Fundraising generates revenue to support rehabilitation programs. The Tommy Nobis Foundation's initiatives that provide revenue include a vehicle donation program, annual Celebrity Golf Classic, Galaxy of Stars & "Tommy" Awards luncheon, grants and gifts from foundations, corporations, civic clubs and individuals. Ray Simms is one of the Center's most motivated warehouse workers. And his attitude is contagious. When new clients (job trainees) come to the Tommy Nobis Center, Ray makes them feel welcomed, keeps them excited, and helps them too to find confidence and success. View Employment Opportunities.
